INFLUENCER MARKETING TRENDS 2016

 

Here's our thoughts for the world of Influencer Marketing for 2016.

 

1. ENGAGEMENT

Previously brands have seemed to think that if the campaign doesn't receive a million likes, it's been a failure. Or hiring a well known celebrity because they have millions of fans, it must mean they'll get the content in front of the right eyes....?

GONE are those days!

It's been an education process and now brands believe our message, ENGAGEMENT IS KEY. Identifying influencers who have engaged audiences, who listen, share, comment, converse...is far more valuable. There is huge value in working with the smaller influencers, who generate real engagement have fans who trust them....people trust people they relate to, it's simple.

2. INSTAGRAM

We believe Instagram will continue to be the platform of choice and more influencers will appear from it. It's the easiest platform for influencers to grow a fanbase and people engage! Real time visual content, drives engagement. With the impact of Instagram introducing view counters to videos on the platform, this ensures impact can be measured more accurately. We also think Snapchat will be used further within Influencer Marketing Campaigns.

3. VIDEO

Video and lot's of it...storytelling is at the heart of every brand's strategy for 2016 and people are consuming more video content than ever before. Brands have been using influencers for years as a "part" of a campaign...NOW in 2016, Influencers will become figureheads for global marketing campaigns. Travel, fashion, sports, gaming, alcohol are industries we expect huge investment for Influencer Marketing activity.
